The design of this home reflects the interesting wooded site upon which it sits. Views to three separate mountain groups can be seen through the trees at different points on the lot. The plan twists and turns to take maximum advantage of these beautifully framed scenes.
The junction of three such angles is expressed on the interior with a unique structural detail. Three exposed glued-laminated ridge beams intersect, each with a slender column extending down to another large exposed beam which takes the load to the outside walls. This large beam helps to provide some division to the spaces within the open plan.
