Principal Profile
The founder and Principal Architect of BASIS Architecture is Steve Lane, AIA. A licensed architect in the States of Colorado and Arizona, Steve has approximately 14 years experience in the field. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.
Career Beginnings
Steve began his career as a space planner for the largest commercial real estate company in Albany before moving to Colorado in 1993. Working in Denver, Steve was involved with many of the first loft renovation projects in Lower Downtown.
Recent History
Established in Estes Park, BASIS Architecture quickly grew from a single-person firm into a small company. The firm maintains local roots while providing services to clients with projects across Northern Colorado and the Rocky Mountains. Project sizes run the gamut from small residential to multi-million dollar master planned communities.
Service and Recognition
Steve has designed homes pro bono for Habitat for Humanity of the Estes Valley, received an Outstanding Professionalism Award from Larimer County, and was listed in the Northern Colorado Business Report’s inaugural ’40 under 40’ featuring up and coming professionals.
