Longtime owners of an attractive piece of property tucked into a corner of the 18-hole golf course wanted high-quality design for their new development. Craftsman influences in detailing and a rich palette of authentic materials were chosen to support that impression. The site was designed to enhance the openness to the golf course and the forested hillside. A total of three buildings six units were designed to sit on the lot. A prime consideration was encouraging outdoor living and unobstructed views while retaining a sense of privacy for all homeowners. This was accomplished in part with shifts in the plan and careful orientation of windows around the building. Each building consists of two homes, with a private entry, garage, and deck. Vaulted interior spaces and windowed dormers bring abundant light into every space. The plan is designed for main floor living, with secondary bedrooms and a small balcony - on the upper floor. A loft overlooks the living space and provides additional sightings of the mountains beyond.
